This is what a Simplicity Newborn session looks like. Simple and sweet.
simplicity newborn sessions: what to expect
Here’s a walk through on what to expect at a Simplicity newborn session. When arriving to the studio, I enjoy showing my parents everything I have selected for their little’s one captures. I choose each item carefully based on the questionnaire I receive back with any color and specification requests. I always look forward to the excitement my parents have with anticipation of seeing their perfect bundle in each little wrap or headband. I always make sure each item fulfills my parents vision, and make changes based on their feedback. Honestly, very rarely are changes are requested or needed – which is why I filling out the newborn questionnaire is so important. It just adds to the ease and enjoyment of your newborn session.
For Simplicity newborn sessions I plan out three separate set-ups. A fully wrapped pose, an open wrap pose, and then a relaxed pose. I truly believe each of those poses together make the sweetest combination – each highlighting special features of a little newborn.
The full wrap: The full wrap presents how tiny your little one is, bringing attention to facial details. There is just something so sweet about a swaddled newborn baby.
The open wrap: I have such a special place in my heart for an open wrap pose because it really shows off how that little baby was curled up in their mama’s belly. The way each baby folds their tiny legs, and quirks their head to their favorite side is unique. The open wrap allows for all that sweet baby skin to be featured, while keeping baby feeling secure.
The relaxed pose: This one is probably my favorite and typically provides the most variations with each baby. I really seek for every angle, bringing focus to sweet details. This is also when I put my macro lens on my camera to grab those little feet, hands, eyelash, and ear captures.
