You’re the one taking the pictures.
The birthday candles. The first day of school. The family vacations. The ordinary Tuesday afternoon that suddenly feels worth remembering.
You’re planning the birthdays, booking the trips, choosing the outfits, ordering the albums, and making sure all of these little pieces of childhood are documented.
But somewhere along the way, it’s easy to become the person behind the memories instead of the person in them.

Don’t Wait for Someday
I hear it all the time.
Maybe after I lose a little weight.
Once the kids are a little easier.
I just need life to slow down.
I’ll do it when I feel more like myself.
There will always be a reason to wait.
But the years you’re waiting through are part of your story, too.
Your children aren’t going to look back and wish you had waited until you looked different. They’re going to want to see you.
The way you held them. How perfectly they fit into your arms. The looks you shared and all the laughter between you.
They’ll want proof that Mom was there, too.

These Aren’t Just Their Growing Years
We talk so much about how quickly babies grow.
And they do.
The newborn days become the toddler years. The toddler years become school years. And somehow, the little person who once needed you for absolutely everything becomes increasingly independent.
But while they’re growing, you are living these years, too.
This is your motherhood.
Remember what your arms looked like wrapped around them. The way your little one reached for your hand. Those years when they still wanted to climb into your lap.
You deserve to remember yourself in it.

You Don’t Have to Feel “Photo Ready”
One of the reasons I’ve created such a guided photography experience is because I don’t expect you to walk into my Centerville studio knowing exactly what to wear, where to stand, or what to do with your hands.
That’s my job.
From wardrobe guidance to gentle, flattering posing, I want you to feel taken care of from the moment we begin planning.
Because when you’re comfortable and confident, you can stop worrying about the camera and simply be with the people you love.
Those are the photographs I want to create for you.
Not just beautiful photographs of your children.
Beautiful photographs with you in them.

Make Sure You’re in the Story
Take the vacations. Celebrate the birthdays. Make the albums. Photograph the tiny details you never want to forget.
But every once in a while, hand someone else the camera.
And when it comes time for family photographs, don’t tell yourself you’ll do them next year when you feel more ready.
Get in the photograph now.
These aren’t just your children’s growing years.
They’re your years, too.
And you deserve to look back and see yourself there.
