Celebrating your little one’s first birthday is a big deal. It’s the biggest milestone they have as a baby, and so fun documenting – especially with a smash cake they get all to themself!

I was so surprised that Birdie’s mom reaching out for a cake smash session. I had done her oldest’s smash cake session over 4 years ago, and I knew they had moved to Oregon. She said when she knew was going o be in town for a week around Birdie’s first birthday, she just had to reach out for another smash cake for her new little one. It was such a pleasure getting to meet sweet Birdie – and boy does she look like her big sis.
Smash cakes are included with smash cake sessions. I have them freshly baked by a local cake artist, Got Cake?. Birdie’s mom wanted a similar look to her oldest daughters one year session – so she brought the balloon, birthday crown, and cake topper.
I’m so thankful you are checking out my work here at my website. A little more about my studio… I have a full studio wardrobe, with of over 60 dresses and robes for moms (size 2 – 24) from a variety of places, along with a collection of choices for babies, children, and shirts for men. Hair and makeup is also available by a local make-up artist that comes right to the studio. It’s the most amazing way for moms to treat themselves before a session to make your session as simple and stress free as possible.
