Celebrating the big one! It’s a major milestone for your little one. Your little one turning one means so many things – for my first time mamas it means being a mom (and surviving being a mom) for one whole year!! It can also mean your little one is growing teeth, eating solids, starting to sleep the whole night through, beginning to walk, learning to talk…. it’s a little different for every little one – but these milestones are huge so getting to freeze time for just a moment capturing all the things that make up your baby’s one year is so special!
My favorite captures from this big one session is actually the mom and baby, and then dad and baby captures. I think it’s so important to have images that show the unique connections little ones have with their parents. It’s something I know not only moms and dads enjoy looking back on, but also children as they grow older.
We wrapped up CJ’s big one session with a cake smash. Every Big One session includes a smash cake with special requests for the design welcome. CJ’s parents requested a space smash cake, and brought CJ an astronaut outfit to pair with it. CJ has fun having an entire cake to himself – stuffing his face and making hand prints in the icing.
