Your little is growing so fast, especially during that first year. Did you know your baby doubles their size by month six? Say what???
You don’t have to wait for warmer days to get updated captures. That’s what the studio is for. I created a beautiful, timeless space that is perfect for sessions all year round.
Here’s my top 5 reasons to have a studio session, even over an outside session during our warm months.
1. Weather. As a Ohio family photographer for over 9 years, weather has been more and more unpredictable every year. If you want to be sure the date and time you choose doesn’t need to be reschedule (sometimes multiple times) for good weather, opting for a studio session means you get your portraits done exactly when you plan for them.
2. Flexibility. The studio is calm, inviting, and easy going for your family. With studio sessions, I won’t be racing against the sun setting – so we aren’t feeling rushed to get into wardrobe, and we have time to give baby breaks as needed. I always allow my clients to reach out to me within one hour of their session if they need to reschedule – studio reschedules are so much easier because I do have more availability for studio sessions.
3. Bedtime. Most people really want that golden hour, so outdoor sessions are at sunset, which can mean as late as a 7:30pm start time during some parts of the year. If you’re concerned about your baby or child’s bedtime, opt for a studio session which can work around nap time during the day. I am always flexible offering earlier than golden hour sessions, I just know that’s what most of clients want.
4. Convenience. Studio sessions has everything needed for your session right there – including full wardrobe for the family, and two separate restrooms for convenient dress changes, or anyone needing a potty break. There studio parking is right next to the front door – so no strollers needed to be pulled out, and you can run out to your car easily if you need something.
5. Consistency. With changing seasons, our outside backdrop changes all year round. The studio offers consistency, especially if your plan is to have a beautiful wall gallery of your baby’s first year. It’s easy to do side by side images that really highlight the growth of your little one from milestone to milestone.
